Directing and Screen Acting

Troy Harrison played the lead role of Jackie in “The Motherf**ker with the Hat” (Workhorse Theatre Company and Darlinghurst Theatre Company, Sydney) which was nominated for best independent production at the Sydney Theatre Awards in 2013.

His other theatre credits include Savages (Darlinghurst Theatre Company) Savage in Limbo, That Pretty Pretty; or: The Rape Play (Workhorse Theatre Company) and The Burlesque Effect.
Troy toured Australia, NZ and parts of Asia with the musical theatre productions Saturday Night Fever (playing the role of Double J), Pricilla Queen of the Desert, Happy Days, The Boy from Oz, Monty Pythons Spamalot and was one of 4 chosen to tour Australia and NZ with Australian icon Barry Humphries is his production Dame Edna Back with a Vengeance.
Troy’s film and TV credits include East West 101, Cops LAC, The Carousel, The Quarantine Hauntings and Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge.
Troy is the co-creator and artistic director of Workhorse Theatre Company.
Troy studied with Lynette Sheldon and was invited to be a participant in the first Australian workshop of world renowned acting coach Larry Moss.
For the past 2 years Troy has taught acting technique, script analysis and has directed the Australian theatre work for the Actors Centre Australia advanced diploma acting course.
